Everygen MCP (Formerly Viewmax): Review and Setup

Everygen is Viewmax renamed. We read its MCP docs, prices, and reviews on 21 September 2026. What the server returns, how to connect it, and what it skips.

AITuber’s review of the Everygen MCP: the rename, the scopes, the prices, and the part of the job it hands back to you.

Everygen MCP is the Viewmax MCP with a new name. Viewmax LLC renamed its short-form video app to Everygen, and the server, the account, and the credits carried over. Connect it to Claude and you get a compose_video tool that returns a 9:16 Short with a voiceover and captions. You still download the file and post it yourself. We read the MCP page, the developer docs, the pricing page, and the reviews on 21 September 2026. This post covers what the server does, what it costs, and the two other products that share its name.

What changed in the rename, and what did not

Everygen homepage with a banner reading Viewmax is now Everygen, a prompt box set to Seedance 2.5, and example cards for product shots, Shorts, AI UGC, and viral presets
The Everygen homepage on 21 September 2026. The banner says it: Viewmax is now Everygen, same account, same credits.

Viewmax’s rename page gives one reason. The product grew past YouTube Shorts into “a creative suite for generating images, video, audio, and more”, and in their words, “the product evolved. The name should too.” The page has no date.

What stays the same, in the company’s own list: “Your account, subscription, credits, projects and generated files are exactly where you left them.” Sign-in works the same way. Old viewmax.io links keep working. Billing plans and renewal dates do not change.

The MCP followed the same path, with one wrinkle. The Everygen MCP page tells you to paste https://everygen.ai/api/mcp. The developer docs, the OpenAPI file, and the OAuth metadata still name https://www.viewmax.io/api/mcp. We sent a request to both hosts on 21 September 2026. Both returned the same sign-in challenge with the same scopes, so either URL reaches the same server. Use the everygen.ai one. It is the one the company now advertises.

What the Everygen MCP does

Everygen runs a remote MCP server with OAuth 2.1. Its developer docs describe the authorization code flow with PKCE and dynamic client registration, which is the standard way a remote server signs you in from Claude. You never paste an API key.

The server splits its permissions into seven scopes. A client asks for the ones it needs.

ScopeWhat it allows
media:uploadUpload and import your own media
image:generateGenerate images
video:generateGenerate videos and ads
voiceover:generateCreate spoken voiceovers from text
voice:changeChange the voice in existing audio or video
audio:generateGenerate music and audio
generation:readRead status, history, models, and your credit balance

The demo on the MCP page shows the whole loop. The user asks for “a touching animal story Short about a penguin” with an emotional hook, a voiceover, and captions for YouTube. Claude writes the narrative and the scene pacing. It then calls compose_video with a 45-second length, 9:16, an ElevenLabs voiceover, and bold captions. The result is a finished Short with story scenes and voiceover, ready to download.

The page lists the styles the server can produce. Faceless stories, cinematic clips, UGC and ads, and hand drawn are the main ones. It also names animal stories, nursery rhymes, ranking clips, 3D explainers, nature clips, epic VFX, surreal motion, and AI court videos. Image generation and voiceover-only videos are in the list too.

Three things the public docs do not say. The maximum length of a composed video. The credit cost of one compose_video call. And the exact tool names beyond compose_video, since the docs describe scopes rather than tools. Ask Claude to list the connector’s tools before you spend credits.

How to set up the Everygen MCP in Claude

The Claude app path takes about a minute.

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, in Claude on the web or Claude Desktop. Everygen’s page calls this Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector. Name it Everygen and paste https://everygen.ai/api/mcp.
  3. Click Connect. A browser tab opens for sign-in. Approve the scopes.
  4. Start a new chat and ask for a video. Say the topic, the length, the aspect ratio, and the voice style. Approve the tool call when Claude asks.

Everygen’s MCP page shows Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor logos, but only documents the Claude steps. The developer docs list a second endpoint for ChatGPT at /api/chatgpt-mcp. No Claude Code command is documented. Because the server uses standard OAuth with dynamic client registration, the generic Claude Code path should work:

claude mcp add --transport http everygen https://everygen.ai/api/mcp

Then type /mcp inside Claude Code and follow the sign-in prompt. We have not tested this path ourselves, so treat it as a starting point.

Everygen pricing

Prices below were read on the Everygen pricing page on 21 September 2026 with the annual toggle on. The page animates its numbers, so the monthly prices come from the struck-through figures and the “save compared to monthly” lines on each card.

PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyCredits a monthEverygen’s own estimate
Basic$14 a monthAbout $20 a month20018 Seedance 2 Fast videos or about 50 images
Professional$19 a month$29.99 a month35026 Seedance 2 videos or about 87 images
Creator$49 a month$69.99 a month80061 Seedance 2 videos or about 200 images

Credits pay for video exports, AI voiceovers, captions, and generations. Plan credits refresh each month and do not roll over. Top-up packs work on every plan and last 90 days. Each plan also caps voiceover characters, from 100,000 on Basic to 450,000 on Creator, and video exports, from 100 to 450. Seedance 2.5 and 1080p are Creator-only.

There is no free plan on the pricing page. The FAQ says you can monetize videos made with Everygen without restrictions.

What you get back, and what you still do

What each option gives ClaudeTHE SIX STEPS OF A PUBLISHABLE VIDEOScriptVoiceVisualsCaptionsMP4PublishEverygen MCPShort to downloadClaudeEverygen server: voice, visuals, captions, MP4You uploadAITuber MCPFull pipeline6 of 6
Everygen gets you to an MP4. Claude writes the script, the server builds the Short, and the upload is yours. AITuber returns the video, posted.

Everygen hands back more than most video MCPs. The Higgsfield, fal.ai, and Replicate servers return a raw clip and leave the voice, captions, and assembly to you. Everygen’s compose_video does those steps and returns a Short that is ready to watch.

What it does not do is post. There is no YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram scope in the list, and nothing on the site suggests one is coming. For a channel that posts once a week, a download and an upload is a small chore. For a daily Shorts channel, it is the part that piles up.

That is the gap AITuber’s server fills. It writes the script inside the tool call rather than in the chat. It picks from more than 1,300 voices, generates the visuals, and adds word-synced captions. It renders in 9:16 or 16:9 and publishes to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, or X. There is nothing to install: paste https://mcp.aituber.app as a custom connector, sign in, and ask. The Claude MCP server for video page has the steps with screenshots. In Claude Code it is one command: claude mcp add --transport http aituber https://mcp.aituber.app.

ReviewsTrustpilot 3.3 of 5 from 67 reviews, listed as ViewmaxJudge it on the free credits before you pay

The honest read. Everygen is one of the more complete video MCPs, because it composes rather than just generates. It stops one step short of done, and it has no free tier to try before you pay. For video from a Claude chat that ends up on your channel, AITuber is the route that finishes.

Who should use which

Use Everygen if you already pay for it as Viewmax and you want Claude to drive the same Shorts pipeline. The connector keeps working under either name, and the credits are the ones you already have.

Use ViewMax Studio, the other server in our Viewmax MCP review, if you want a raw clip from a specific model and you plan to edit it yourself.

Use AITuber if you want to ask Claude for a video and find it posted. Our best MCP servers for AI video generation roundup places it against Everygen and the rest of the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

Basics

Is Everygen the same as Viewmax?

Yes. Viewmax LLC renamed its short-form video app to Everygen. The company says accounts, subscriptions, credits, projects, and generated files are unchanged, and old viewmax.io links keep working. The footer on everygen.ai still reads Viewmax LLC.

Is the EveryGen app by MWM the same product?

No. EveryGen AI-in-One Generator is a phone app from MWM that bundles chat and image models. It has no MCP server and no connection to Everygen or Viewmax LLC. If you searched “everygen mcp”, you want everygen.ai.

What does the Everygen MCP return?

A finished video. The demo calls compose_video with a 45-second length, 9:16, an ElevenLabs voiceover, and bold captions, and gets back a Short with story scenes and narration to download. The server can also generate images, voiceovers, music, and change voices in existing media.

Setup

What is the Everygen MCP URL?

https://everygen.ai/api/mcp. The developer docs still list https://www.viewmax.io/api/mcp, and both hosts answered the same sign-in challenge when we checked on 21 September 2026. Use the everygen.ai address, and do not add both.

Does the Everygen MCP work in Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Cursor?

ChatGPT has its own endpoint at /api/chatgpt-mcp. Cursor appears in the page header with no steps. Claude Code is not documented, but the server uses standard OAuth with dynamic client registration, so claude mcp add --transport http everygen https://everygen.ai/api/mcp followed by /mcp should sign you in. We have not tested it.

Do I need to reconnect after the rename?

No. The server did not move. A connector added under the Viewmax name keeps working.

Cost

Is the Everygen MCP free?

No. There is no free plan. Basic is $14 a month billed yearly, or about $20 monthly, for 200 credits. Professional is $19 yearly or $29.99 monthly for 350 credits. Creator is $49 yearly or $69.99 monthly for 800 credits. Prices read on 21 September 2026.

How many credits does one composed video cost?

Everygen does not publish a per-video credit cost for MCP calls. Its cards say 200 credits is about 18 Seedance 2 Fast videos, so budget around 11 credits for a short clip, with voiceover, captions, and export billed on top. Check your balance with a generation:read call after the first video.

Comparisons

Everygen MCP or AITuber MCP?

Everygen returns a Short you download. AITuber returns a video it has already posted, and it starts free. If you already pay for Everygen, keep using it from Claude. If you are choosing now, and you want the upload done, AITuber is the shorter path. Our MCP roundup has the full comparison.

Everygen or ViewMax Studio?

Everygen composes a finished Short. ViewMax Studio, at viewmax.studio, returns a raw clip from your choice of model and is a different company. Our Viewmax MCP for Claude review covers both under the old name.

Final verdict

Everygen is Viewmax with a new name and the same MCP. It is one of the better video servers to connect to Claude, because compose_video returns a Short with voice and captions rather than a bare clip. It costs from $14 a month with no free plan, the reviews are split, and nothing gets posted for you. If you already use it, keep the connector. If you want to ask Claude for a video and find it on your channel, connect AITuber’s Claude MCP server for video instead.

How we researched this: we read the Everygen MCP page, the developer docs at everygen.ai/developers, the llms.txt index, the OpenAPI file, the rename page at viewmax.io/manifesto, and the pricing page on 21 September 2026. We sent an unauthenticated request to both MCP hosts the same day to confirm they return the same OAuth challenge and scopes. Prices are as shown with the annual toggle on; monthly figures come from the struck-through prices and the savings lines on each card. Review figures are from Trustpilot’s Viewmax profile that day. AITuber is a product we build, so every comparison is flagged, and the Everygen details are kept accurate and current. If Everygen adds publishing or a free plan, this page will be updated.
